Profit & loss
Review posted revenue and expenses for the chosen period and the resulting profit or loss. Open periods can be provisional; the report is not an audit opinion.

Revenue alone cannot tell you how the business is doing. Explore the agency-finance model: operating costs, allocation, double-entry records and the financial picture behind client work.
Follow the connectionBeyond the invoice
Record actual software, contractor, payroll, office and other operating costs with vendor, date, reference, account and supporting evidence. Allocate an appropriate share to clients, projects or service lines; retain the remainder as overhead.
Allocation explains where one expense belongs. It does not duplicate the expense or automatically turn an internal cost into a client charge. Estimated time costs and actual payroll or contractor expenses are different records.
The flow
Capture the actual expense, its account and source evidence. Separate a draft from a reviewed posted entry.
Assign the cost once across the relevant delivery areas and residual overhead. Keep time estimates separate from actual costs.
Follow balanced journals, account totals and supporting records. Use linked adjustments or reversals rather than silently changing posted history.
Review opening balances, source coverage and reconciliation. Close or reopen a period with authority and a retained reason.
Performance and position
The financial model includes accounts, balanced debit and credit entries, reviewed posting and accrual-based controls. An issued invoice, customer receipt, earned revenue, deferred amount, refund, fee and processor payout represent different events.
Review posted revenue and expenses for the chosen period and the resulting profit or loss. Open periods can be provisional; the report is not an audit opinion.
Review assets, liabilities and equity at a point in time. Cash and receivables differ from unpaid bills and other obligations; profit is not the cash available to spend.
Use account totals, journal detail and ledger exports to follow the records behind the result. Annual closing must preserve historical P&L rather than erase it.
Support opening cash, processor balances, receivables, liabilities, prepaids and equity with evidence. Keep the reason and original record behind corrections and reopening.
Bank and processor context
Provider configuration, authorized account linking, transaction retrieval, ledger mapping and reconciliation are distinct concerns. Supported synchronization can handle changed or removed activity and pending-to-posted transitions; source coverage and product integration must be confirmed before relying on a live feed.
Review the right account, currency, amount and supported date or reference context alongside opening and closing statement balances. Surface missing, duplicate-looking and ambiguous items. Equal net totals do not prove that every record matched.
Source freshness, stale or disconnected status and the declared covered period matter. Bank-feed activity is not necessarily an official statement, and a saved credential check does not establish a working bank connection.
The authorized business view
Agency overhead, payroll-sensitive costs, P&L and balance-sheet records belong to authorized internal users. Clients receive eligible billing for their own relationship, not the agency’s books.
Agency finance is part of the product model. Confirm module availability, accounting policies, provider setup and source coverage for the agency’s release. Meaningful reports require complete records, supported opening balances, reviewed entries and reconciliation.
Worth knowing
No. Actual payroll and contractor expense records describe business costs. Wage payments, payroll taxes and payroll compliance remain separate services and responsibilities.
No. P&L, balance sheet, trial balance and ledger records support financial review; they are not an audit opinion, GAAP certification or universal tax-compliance service. Open periods and incomplete records need review.
No. Confirm the supported institution, authorized access, history coverage, update time and verification. A connection status is not evidence of a complete live feed or a successful reconciliation.
The public demo uses fictional data and simulated actions. Finance module availability and integration must be confirmed for the independent release; the demo does not create an operational agency account.
